Its All About the Little Details

The client is busy professional woman living in another state, needing to handle most details by phone.

Our Challenge:  An intimate wedding for a couple in their 40’s, with a small bridal party.  No flowers were needed for the reception (a small dinner at a fashionable NYC restaurant).   A sophisticated and savvy woman, our bride knew exactly the” feel” of what she wanted for her bouquet, and KPF needed to make that vision a reality.

The Solution:  Dialogue about colors, “bling”, and playing around to get the right play of color and texture led to a palate of chartreuse, taupe, and ivory (photo attached).

“The cake ,the bouquets, the beauty of it all. The flowers were more than I could have wished for. I explained my vision and Katrina Parris Flowers went to work. When I saw the cake and my bouquet arrived I couldn't believe how fresh and fantastic it all was. Trust them to make your dreams come true.” SM

A Beautiful Wedding in the Park

The client is a young couple with a large family (and bridal party), having a fall wedding in Prospect Park.

Challenge:  This was a full wedding, with an extensive bridal party, and ceremony and reception at the Picnic House with place-card table, cocktail hour, and sit-down dinner …all on a budget.

Solution:  KPF worked with the bride to decide what the important pieces were…where to spend money on flowers and where it was possible to reduce costs.  We also created with the bride an overall vision (sunset orange, relaxed yet elegant flowers) and then worked out cost effective ways to achieve this.  As we are experienced with making things work “on the fly”, we were also able to accommodate a same-day, last minute addition of junior bridesmaid and another usher, as well as helping sort a solution for table numbers.

Result:  A very happy bride and groom, who were able to enjoy their special day without any worries about their flowers.

Cipriani Wedding Details Coming Soon

The client was a a young woman who moved from Texas and was making a life of her own with the man of her dreams.

The art deco venue was sophisticated and romantic and required just the right floral design that would compliment, not compete with the already dramatic aesthetic. And the client's crafty mom wanted to make sure she was apart of the wedding preparations, albeit living in Texas.

Solution: KPF first wanted to make sure the right floral design was fitting for the venue, and was in sinc with the bride's vision.  We created a simple, elegant and distinctive design that went perfect with the clean lines of the art deco details.  The bride had a color palate of peach and earth tone creams and taupe.  The KPF team procured over  800 peach blossom amaryllis stems from Holland.  The centerpieces were a combination of tall and pave amaryllis blooms adorned with simple greenery accent and clusters of votives arraigned intermittently. To ensure the bride's mom was apart of the day, KPF scheduled additional meetings to discuss and coordinate the wedding favors that her mom had designed and packaged.

Result: An amazing celebration that reflected it all; the glamour and sophistication of the city, the soft elegant feel of the bride, and the southern touch mom's crafty wedding favors.
